Commercial Pilot Licence (Full-time)
Our flagship program and the fastest route to becoming a working commercial pilot. Designed for students ready to fully commit to their aviation training, our full-time CPL program combines intensive flight training, in-house ground school, industry mentorship, and hands-on operational exposure. Students train daily, work closely with instructors, and progress through the curriculum with momentum, structure, and a schedule that mirrors the pace of real-world aviation.
Full-time commercial students experience the fastest growth, strongest continuity, and direct access to hour-building opportunities upon licensing.

Commercial Pilot Licence (Part-time)
Perfect for students who are working, balancing school, or looking for more flexibility. Our part-time commercial program covers the same Transport Canada requirements but allows you to progress at a pace that fits your schedule. This pathway is ideal for students committed to a commercial future but who need training that adapts to their life.

Private Pilot Licence (Part-time)
Our part-time PPL program teaches the foundational skills of helicopter flight, including handling, navigation, safety procedures, and solo flying. You’ll gain the confidence to fly independently or with passengers.

Our aircraft are selected for their safety, reliability, and relevance in today’s industry, ensuring your training directly reflects the helicopters used across Canada in commercial, utility, tourism, and emergency operations. Students in our commercial helicopter licence course have the choice to fly any combination of the Robinson R44, R66, and Bell 206 helicopters to complete their licence.

Several of our instructors began their own aviation journey right here at Great Lakes Helicopter.
