Great Lakes Helicopter Open House

Join us for an exciting day of aviation at Great Lakes Helicopter as we open our hangar doors to future students, aviation enthusiasts, and community members alike. This is a unique opportunity to tour our facility, meet our team of experienced instructors and learn firsthand what it’s like to train at one of Canada’s leading helicopter flight schools.

Throughout the day, guests will enjoy guided hangar and aircraft tours, career insights, and the chance to ask questions about our Private and Commercial Pilot License programs. Helicopters will be staged outside for viewing, and our team will be on hand to walk you through aircraft operations, training pathways, and job opportunities in the industry.

We’re excited to offer $99 Helicopter Rides during our Open House, an incredible opportunity to experience the thrill of helicopter flight. All passengers ages 2 and up are welcome, with each person requiring their own seat. Rides will run on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the event, and RSVPs are appreciated to help us prepare. This scenic route showcases the Region of Waterloo International Airport, the Grand River, and the surrounding area from an unforgettable aerial perspective. Plus, every attendee will be entered into our Free Flight Door Prize, with a winner drawn at 12pm
